You'll play a vital part in supporting care services by maintaining immaculate, hygienic spaces. Your efficient, gentle presence helps care home residents especially older or vulnerable individuals feel safe and at ease.

What you'll be doing

  • Dust, vacuum, mop, sweep, and polish resident rooms, communal areas, bathrooms, and corridors

  • Sanitize high-touch surfaces following infection-control and CQC/COSHH standards 

  • Manage bed linen and laundry, wash, fold, and store with care

  • Follow structured cleaning schedules and suggest improvements where needed 

  • Safely handle cleaning supplies and report any waste or supply issues

  • Watch for maintenance or repair needs and notify the appropriate staff

  • Greet residents warmly and maintain respect for their privacy and dignity

Who were looking for

  • Experience preferred (especially in care homes or healthcare settings) but a caring attitude is essential

  • Excellent attention to detail, reliability, and a strong work ethic 

  • Ability to follow COSHH guidelines and infection-control procedures

  • Professional, respectful, and approachable with both residents and staff

  • Flexible with shift patterns weekdays, weekends, or bank holidays
