Engineering Lead

We are currently seeking an experienced Software Engineering Lead for a permanent placement opportunity, to lead and grow a high-performing engineering organisation delivering impactful digital solutions.

Your Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary engineering team, including Software Engineers, Requirements Engineers, Software Architects and UX Designers
• Oversee the full software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering to deployment
• Define and implement best practices and standards to ensure high-quality software solutions
• Provide technical leadership to ensure successful project delivery
• Collaborate closely with Product Managers and key stakeholders to achieve business objectives
• Ensure all software solutions meet the highest standards of quality, performance and security
• Manage team resources effectively, including hiring, onboarding, training and performance management
• Identify and mitigate delivery risks to guarantee timely outcomes
• Act as the primary technical point of contact and report regularly to senior management

Your Profile

• Degree in IT, Computer Science or a related field (advanced degrees or relevant certifications are a plus)
• Proven experience in a leadership role within a software engineering environment
• Strong knowledge of modern software development methodologies and practices
• Hands-on technical background with Java, Angular, Spring, Docker, OpenShift, Jenkins, Git and SQL
• Strategic mindset with the ability to align technical solutions with business goals
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Experience in logistics or supply chain is an advantage
• Good knowledge of English
