Quality Engineer

IT House is looking for a Quality Engineer for a direct placement with an end client in the Logistics and Transportation sector.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive testing strategies for software quality, performance and reliability and continuously improve test processes and methods to ensure the quality of applications;
• Identify, document and track defects, working closely with development teams to ensure timely resolution;
• Perform manual testing to ensure software quality and support the product release cycle, identify defects and to validate the user experience, including exploratory testing;
• Design, create, and maintain detailed test plans, test cases and test scripts based on requirements, additional design and execute performance tests to ensure that the software can handle the expected loads and stress conditions;
• Develop and maintain automated test suites using tools such as Cypress to improve test coverage;
• Collaborate with developers, product managers and stakeholders to ensure high software quality, as well as work in an agile environment according to Scrum.

Ideal Profile

• Degree in IT, Computer Science or related field, relevant certifications (e.g., ISTQB) are a plus;
• Ideally, several years of experience in quality management (e.g. as a software tester) or in 1st or 2nd level support;
  
• Proven experience as a Quality Engineer or similar Quality Assurance role, with strong understanding of software testing methodologies and proficiency in automated testing tools (e.g. Cypress, JUnit) and scripting languages (e.g. Python, JavaScript);
  
• Exceptional attention to detail and methodical approach to testing, as well as strong analytical and problem-solving skills for diagnosing issues and proposing solutions;
  
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective cross-functional collaboration;
• Fluent in spoken and written English.
