About the Role

We are looking for a passionate Open Source Developer to design and build innovative applications where mapping, geolocation, and computing come together.

You will work in a collaborative team of analysts, architects, and developers, contributing to the development of high-performance, user-centric solutions and helping shape the future of geospatial platforms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop scalable applications using Java, Spring Boot, and modern JavaScript frameworks
  • Contribute to software architecture design and evolution
  • Ensure code quality, testing, and performance optimization
  • Participate in all phases of development:
    • Design
    • Development
    • Integration
    • Optimization
  • Solve complex technical challenges and stay updated on emerging technologies

Tech Stack

  • Backend: Java, Spring Boot
  • Frontend: React, Vue.js (or similar), HTML5, CSS3
  • GIS & Mapping: OpenLayers, Geographic Information Systems (GIS)
  • Databases: Relational & NoSQL (JPA, Hibernate)
  • Cloud: AWS, GCP, Azure
  • Other: Linux, Docker, NGINX/HTTPD, Microservices, REST APIs

Required Skills & Experience

Core Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field
  • 3–5 years of experience in software development
  • Strong proficiency in Java
  • Experience with at least one modern front-end framework (React preferred)
  • Experience or interest in GIS / geospatial technologies

Additional Skills

  • Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
  • Familiarity with microservices architecture and APIs
