About the Role

We are looking for a skilled Desktop Support Engineer to join our IT team in Amsterdam. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality technical support, ensuring seamless IT operations, and enhancing end-user experience across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support for hardware, software, and network-related issues
  • Install, configure, and maintain desktop systems, laptops, and peripherals
  • Diagnose and resolve technical problems both remotely and on-site
  • Perform routine system maintenance, updates, and backups
  • Maintain accurate documentation of incidents, configurations, and solutions
  • Develop and update knowledge base articles for common issues
  • Deliver user training and guidance on IT systems and applications
  • Collaborate with cross-functional IT teams to resolve complex issues
  • Manage system security settings to protect against cyber threats

Required Skills & Experience

  • 4–6 years of experience in Desktop Support / Infrastructure Services
  • Strong knowledge of desktop management and IT support environments
  • Experience with Windows OS, hardware troubleshooting, and networking basics
  • Familiarity with ticketing tools and IT service management processes
  • Good understanding of security best practices
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in enterprise IT environments
  • Knowledge of Active Directory, Office 365, and remote support tools
  • IT certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, ITIL) are a plus
