About the Role
We are looking for a skilled Desktop Support Engineer to join our IT team in Amsterdam. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality technical support, ensuring seamless IT operations, and enhancing end-user experience across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical support for hardware, software, and network-related issues
- Install, configure, and maintain desktop systems, laptops, and peripherals
- Diagnose and resolve technical problems both remotely and on-site
- Perform routine system maintenance, updates, and backups
- Maintain accurate documentation of incidents, configurations, and solutions
- Develop and update knowledge base articles for common issues
- Deliver user training and guidance on IT systems and applications
- Collaborate with cross-functional IT teams to resolve complex issues
- Manage system security settings to protect against cyber threats
Required Skills & Experience
- 4–6 years of experience in Desktop Support / Infrastructure Services
- Strong knowledge of desktop management and IT support environments
- Experience with Windows OS, hardware troubleshooting, and networking basics
- Familiarity with ticketing tools and IT service management processes
- Good understanding of security best practices
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in enterprise IT environments
- Knowledge of Active Directory, Office 365, and remote support tools
- IT certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, ITIL) are a plus
