Discipline Engineer – Fire Safety & Risk Management
Mission Overview
We are looking for a Medior Discipline Engineer with expertise in fire safety and risk management to support the design, optimization, and safety assessment of industrial installations and projects. You will act as a technical expert, ensuring compliance with safety regulations while contributing to engineering studies, risk analyses, project execution, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Fire Safety Engineering
- Perform fire safety studies and assessments.
- Design, evaluate, and improve fire protection systems and safety measures.
- Develop technical specifications and recommendations for fire safety projects.
- Ensure compliance with applicable safety regulations, standards, and best practices.
Risk Analysis & Safety Management
- Conduct and participate in risk assessments, including HAZOP, FMEA, SWIFT, and MOC studies.
- Identify operational risks and define mitigation measures.
- Contribute to safety dossiers, permit files, and technical documentation.
- Support both conventional and nuclear safety initiatives.
Technical Studies & Engineering
- Perform technical calculations, analyses, and feasibility studies.
- Design and optimize industrial processes and installations.
- Develop technical solutions and engineering specifications.
- Produce reports, studies, procedures, and operational documentation.
Project Management
- Lead and coordinate engineering and safety projects from initiation to completion.
- Manage planning, budgets, reporting, and stakeholder communication.
- Prepare technical specifications and procurement documentation.
- Support tendering processes and contract management activities.
Continuous Improvement & Expertise
- Identify improvement opportunities and implement best practices.
- Monitor lessons learned and integrate them into future projects.
- Act as a subject matter expert and provide technical guidance to stakeholders.
- Contribute to knowledge sharing, standards development, and training activities.
Required Profile
- Experience in fire safety engineering and fire protection projects.
- Experience conducting fire safety studies and risk assessments.
- Knowledge of risk management methodologies and safety regulations.
- Understanding of conventional and nuclear safety principles.
- Strong analytical, technical writing, and reporting skills.
- Experience managing technical or engineering projects is an asset.
