Oracle Database Administrator (DBA) – 6–8 Years Experience

Location: Eindhoven, Netherlands (Onsite)
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Duration: 6 Months

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Oracle Database Administrator (DBA) to join our team in Eindhoven. This is a fully onsite role where you will be responsible for managing, optimizing, and supporting large-scale Oracle database environments within a project-driven setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and administer Oracle databases across enterprise environments
  • Participate in project meetings, planning sessions, and contribute to timelines, deliverables, and milestones
  • Perform database upgrades, migrations, and platform enhancements
  • Handle release-based development and database optimization activities
  • Execute database refreshes (e.g., ET environments using production copies)
  • Perform schema migrations and database cloning
  • Manage backup and recovery processes using tools such as RMAN and Data Pump
  • Implement and support changes in accordance with ITIL processes
  • Collaborate with project leaders and translate business requirements into technical solutions
  • Provide weekend support (approximately once a month) for production releases
  • Set up and maintain RAC and virtual database environments
  • Manage patching and ensure system stability

Must-Have Skills & Experience

  • Minimum 8 years of Oracle Database Administration experience
  • Strong expertise in Oracle 12c and above
  • Hands-on experience with backup & recovery, RMAN, Data Pump
  • Proven experience with database migrations, upgrades, and cloning
  • Experience with Oracle Data Guard
  • Strong knowledge of RAC and large database environments
  • Experience working within ITIL frameworks
  • Ability to work in a collaborative, project-based environment

Good-to-Have

  • Oracle Certified Professional (OCP)
  • Strong performance tuning experience
  • Demonstrated expertise in database migration and cloning
  • Analytical and engineering mindset
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Experience engaging with senior stakeholders
  • Ability to create technical and design documentation
