Operational Risk Trainer / Workshop Facilitator | Luxembourg | Short-Term Contract

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Operational Risk Consultant or Training Facilitator to design and deliver an engaging, interactive awareness workshop for a non-specialist audience.

The objective is to help participants understand the fundamentals of Operational Risk Management through practical exercises, gamification, role-playing, or simulation-based learning. The audience consists of professionals with varying backgrounds and little to no prior knowledge of operational risk.

This is an excellent opportunity for consultants with experience in corporate training, risk management, facilitation, and adult learning.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design an engaging 60–75 minute Operational Risk awareness workshop
  • Deliver 3–4 in-person training sessions during a single week
  • Create interactive exercises, simulations, role-play, or gamified activities to maximize engagement
  • Explain Operational Risk concepts in a simple, accessible manner
  • Demonstrate how operational risks are identified and assessed
  • Introduce risk assessment concepts, including impact and likelihood
  • Illustrate how risk assessments support effective controls and avoid unnecessary over-control
  • Highlight the importance of incident reporting as a tool for identifying emerging risks
  • Help participants understand how proactive risk management improves organizational resilience
  • Encourage audience participation and discussion throughout the session

Required Skills & Experience

Operational Risk

  • Expert knowledge of Operational Risk Management
  • Experience explaining risk concepts to non-technical or non-specialist audiences
  • Understanding of risk identification, assessment, controls, and incident management

Training & Facilitation

  • Extensive experience delivering workshops and corporate training
  • Strong facilitation and presentation skills
  • Experience using gamification, simulations, role play, or other interactive learning techniques
  • Ability to engage diverse audiences with memorable learning experiences

Communication

  • Excellent presentation and storytelling skills
  • Ability to simplify complex topics
  • Strong audience engagement and facilitation capabilities

Deliverables

Candidates should be able to provide:

    • Session agenda
    • Interactive activities
    • Required equipment or materials
    • Expected learning outcomes

Language Requirements

  • English – Professional Working Proficiency

Contract Details

Location: Luxembourg (On-site)

Start Date: ASAP

Contract Duration: Until October 2026

Workload: Part-Time (4 days/week)

Delivery Schedule:

  • 3–4 in-person sessions
  • Each session lasts approximately 60–75 minutes
  • Delivery during a single week between 28 September and 2 October 2026
