Senior Environmental Management Advisor

 About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Environmental Management Advisor to support the delivery of large-scale infrastructure projects involving intelligent transportation systems, traffic management technologies, and roadside infrastructure.

Working within a multidisciplinary project team, you will play a key role in stakeholder management, environmental coordination, project advisory, and ensuring that projects are delivered successfully while balancing operational, environmental, and public interests.

 Key Responsibilities

* Develop, maintain, and regularly update stakeholder analyses and engagement strategies throughout all project phases.

* Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

* Clarify project scope with clients and support scope management throughout project execution.

* Coordinate environmental and site-conditioning activities, including permits, archaeology, utilities, and third-party investigations.

* Support environmental safety initiatives and contribute to their implementation within the project team.

* Participate in environmental and ecological coordination activities, including flora and fauna-related projects.

* Identify project risks, maintain risk registers, and recommend appropriate mitigation measures.

* Translate complex technical information into clear, understandable communication for stakeholders.

* Advise on traffic management planning, road closures, and implementation strategies.

* Monitor traffic management requests and project-related operational activities.

* Coordinate with communication teams and external communication partners regarding public information and stakeholder communication.

* Provide procedural, technical, and strategic support during project decision-making.

* Prepare management reports, analyses, recommendations, and project updates for senior management.

* Support responses to public enquiries and facilitate coordination between operational, safety, and stakeholder interests.

* Collaborate closely with technical, contract, and project management teams to ensure successful project delivery.

Required Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree (HBO) or higher in a relevant discipline.

* Minimum of 3 years' experience in Environmental Management within framework agreements or long-term infrastructure contracts.

* Demonstrated experience with Dynamic Traffic Management (DVM) or Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS).

* Proven experience in an advisory role within complex infrastructure or engineering projects.

Preferred Experience

* Strong written and verbal communication skills.

* Experience working with Ultimo.

* Experience managing projects involving multiple stakeholders.

* Knowledge of Systems Engineering (SE) methodologies, including the KES process.

* Experience using Relatics.

* Experience preparing and presenting management information and project reports.
