Senior GIS Architect / GIS Expert

Mission Overview
We are seeking a Senior GIS Architect to support the design, implementation, optimization, and governance of complex GIS solutions within a large-scale sectoral GIS platform. The role combines technical leadership, project coordination, solution architecture, and hands-on expertise across the Esri ecosystem, spatial databases, and geospatial data integration technologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, deployment, and optimization of enterprise GIS solutions aligned with business and strategic objectives.
• Act as the technical reference for ArcGIS Enterprise and ArcGIS Utility Network.
• Manage and coordinate complex GIS projects and contribute to portfolio management activities.
• Design and optimize GIS architectures, workflows, and operational processes.
• Develop and configure ArcGIS applications (Experience Builder, Survey123, Field Maps, Dashboards, JavaScript API).
• Publish, manage, and optimize GIS services and layers within ArcGIS Enterprise.
• Design and maintain FME Desktop and FME Flow workflows, including automation, monitoring, scheduling, and troubleshooting.
• Support change management, user adoption, technical documentation, and operational procedures.
• Provide recommendations to improve GIS performance, scalability, and sustainability.

Required Skills & Experience

• Minimum 10 years of experience delivering complex GIS projects and architectures within the Esri ecosystem.
• Strong experience in GIS solution architecture and enterprise platform design.
• Proven project leadership and stakeholder management capabilities.
• Advanced expertise with:
  • ArcGIS Enterprise administration (Portal, ArcGIS Server, Data Store)
  • ArcGIS Utility Network implementation and configuration
  • ArcGIS Pro
  • Enterprise geodatabases, versioning, archiving, and performance optimization
  • PostgreSQL/PostGIS and spatial SQL
  • FME Desktop and FME Flow
  • Python (ArcPy) for GIS automation
  • GIS application configuration and development
• Experience with DevOps practices, Git, and CI/CD pipelines is an asset.
• Experience in water utilities, wastewater management, or public infrastructure projects is highly desirable.

Preferred Certifications

• ArcGIS Enterprise Administration
• ArcGIS Enterprise Geodata Management
• FME Professional
