Power BI Functional Data Analyst / Data Model & Dataset Developer

We are looking for a Power BI Functional Data Analyst / Data Model & Dataset Developer to support the modernization of a central data warehouse platform and its migration to Microsoft Azure and Microsoft Fabric.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze business processes and translate business needs into technical requirements
• Design, optimize, and maintain Power BI datasets and data models
• Align Power BI models with star schema and snowflake data warehouse structures
• Collaborate with Data Engineers on Microsoft Fabric and Azure integrations
• Implement governance, security, monitoring, and performance optimization for datasets
• Support testing, validation, and documentation of developed solutions
• Ensure compliance with internal standards, governance, and procedures

Required Skills & Experience

• Minimum 3 years of professional experience with Power BI (datasets, dashboards, modeling)
• Minimum 5 years of experience in functional analysis and data analysis
• Strong knowledge of:
  • Power BI Desktop & Service
  • DAX, Power Query, SQL
  • Data warehouse modeling (Kimball/Inmon, star schema, snowflake)
  • Tabular modeling and dataset optimization
  • Microsoft Fabric and Azure integration
  • Row-Level Security and Power BI governance
  • CI/CD for Power BI using Azure DevOps or GitHub
• Experience with SAP BI universes or Sparx Enterprise Architect is a plus

Profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
• Strong analytical and communication skills
• Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
• Team-oriented with a focus on optimization and quality

Languages

• Dutch or French with good passive knowledge of the other language
• English knowledge is a plus
