About the Role

We are looking for a skilled Microsoft Purview Developer to design, implement, and manage data governance solutions. You will play a key role in enabling data visibility, compliance, and security across enterprise data platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy data governance solutions using Microsoft Purview
• Integrate Purview with various data sources to establish data lineage and metadata management
• Configure and manage data classification, labeling, and sensitivity policies
• Collaborate with data architects, analysts, and IT teams to enforce governance best practices
• Maintain and optimize Purview services aligned with business and compliance requirements
• Implement data discovery processes to improve data quality, accessibility, and security
• Monitor and troubleshoot Purview integrations across Azure environments
• Document technical solutions and provide guidance to stakeholders and data stewards

Essential Skills & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field
• 2–4 years of experience with Microsoft Purview or similar data governance platforms
• Strong expertise in Microsoft Azure services (Azure Data Factory, Synapse, Azure SQL, Blob Storage)
• Solid understanding of data governance concepts (metadata, lineage, cataloging, compliance)
• Experience with ETL pipelines and data modeling
• Knowledge of security and compliance standards
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills

Nice to Have

• Azure certifications (Data, Security, or Governance related)
• Experience with Power BI or other data visualization tools
• Knowledge of Python or PowerShell scripting
• Experience in multi-cloud or hybrid environments
• Understanding of regulatory frameworks (GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA, SOX)
• Dutch language proficiency (B2 level or higher)
