Job Title: Senior AI Engineer

Overview:
We are seeking a Senior AI Engineer to build and deploy a production-grade AI-powered knowledge search platform using Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG). You will work on scalable, secure, and bilingual AI solutions in a hybrid cloud environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement end-to-end RAG pipelines (retrieval, reranking, LLM orchestration)
• Build data ingestion pipelines (CMS and document sources, chunking, embeddings)
• Develop prompt templates, guardrails, and evaluation frameworks
• Implement security controls (ACLs, access filtering)
• Deploy and manage services using Terraform, Helm, and Kubernetes (AKS)
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps
• Support performance tuning and operations during early production phases

Requirements:

• Strong experience with Python and AI/ML systems
• Hands-on experience with RAG, LLMs, and vector databases
• Experience with Azure (AKS, Azure OpenAI, API Management)
• Proven experience with Terraform and Kubernetes/Helm
• Experience building and deploying production AI systems

Languages:

• Dutch or French (fluent)
• English (professional proficiency)

Work Setup:

• Location: Brussels (hybrid – 2–3 days on-site)
• Contract: Long-term mission (up to 880 working days)

Additional Requirements:

• Experience delivering RAG systems to production
• Ability to work on-site 2–3 days per week
