We're Hiring: SAP S/4HANA Cutover Program Manager | Amsterdam (Netherlands)

We are looking for an experienced SAP S/4HANA Cutover Program Manager to lead large-scale transformation initiatives in Amsterdam. This is a 6-month contract with an immediate start.

Role Overview
You will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing the end-to-end cutover strategy for SAP ECC to S/4HANA conversion. This role requires strong leadership, deep SAP technical and functional knowledge, and the ability to manage complex, high-pressure go-live environments.

Key Responsibilities

Cutover Planning & Strategy

• Define and manage the end-to-end cutover plan, timeline, and execution strategy
• Develop integrated cutover plans across SAP, non-SAP systems, infrastructure, and business readiness
• Optimize production downtime in collaboration with BASIS and infrastructure teams

Pre-Conversion Readiness

• Validate technical readiness (SUM checks, simplification items, system freeze)
• Coordinate with BASIS teams on DMO, backups, system refreshes, and transports
• Ensure functional readiness (data validation, reconciliations, cleanup activities)

Mock Conversion Execution

• Plan and execute multiple mock runs (DEV, QA, pre-prod)
• Track performance, identify risks, and optimize timelines to reduce downtime

Governance & Stakeholder Management

• Lead cutover governance meetings across cross-functional teams
• Manage dependencies across technical, functional, data, and vendor teams
• Maintain real-time dashboards and reporting for leadership

Business Readiness & Communication

• Ensure business preparedness for downtime, freeze windows, and go-live
• Develop communication plans for stakeholders and end users
• Plan hypercare support and ensure business continuity

Data Migration & Integration

• Oversee data migration tasks including validation and reconciliation
• Coordinate integration readiness, interface management, and system activation
• Align with security teams on roles, access, and compliance

Go-Live Execution

• Lead cutover execution during go-live weekend
• Manage war room communications and issue resolution
• Ensure system validation and readiness for business operations

Required Skills & Experience

• 10+ years of SAP experience with at least one end-to-end S/4HANA conversion
• Strong expertise in SAP BASIS, DMO, HANA migration, and system architecture
• Solid understanding of SAP functional areas (Finance, Logistics, Retail, Supply Chain)
• Proven experience managing large, complex cutovers across global programs
• Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and decision-making skills
• Experience with tools like MS Project, Jira, Azure DevOps, SolMan/ALM
• Familiarity with SAP Activate, Agile, and hybrid delivery models
