Scrum Master / Release Train Engineer (SAFe) – Senior Role

Brussels, Belgium (Hybrid / Remote option available)
Contract: ASAP – 31 December 2026 (Full-time, 9 months)

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Scrum Master / Release Train Engineer (RTE) to support a large-scale, strategic program focused on digital healthcare solutions.

In this role, you will work across four Agile teams operating in key domains:

  • Medicinal prescriptions
  • Referral prescriptions
  • Referral prescription support
  • Mobile health application (MyHealth)

These are long-term, high-impact projects with strong strategic importance.

Your Responsibilities

  • Act as Scrum Master / RTE across multiple Agile teams
  • Facilitate Agile ceremonies (Sprint Planning, Reviews, Retrospectives, PI Planning)
  • Ensure effective implementation of Scrum and SAFe frameworks
  • Coach teams and stakeholders on Agile best practices
  • Support collaboration between development teams, Product Owners, and project managers
  • Drive continuous improvement and Agile maturity
  • Remove impediments and manage dependencies across teams
  • Align Agile delivery with existing PRINCE2-based project governance
  • Navigate complex organizational environments while preserving Agile principles

Working Environment

  • Teams operate using Scrum methodologies
  • SAFe framework applied for quarterly planning (PI Planning)
  • Each team is supported by a Product Owner and Project Manager
  • Collaboration within a structured yet evolving Agile environment

Required Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience as a Scrum Master and/or Release Train Engineer
  • Strong expertise in:
    • Agile methodologies (Scrum, SAFe)
    • Agile coaching and team facilitation
    • Jira and Confluence
  • Experience working in complex, multi-team environments
  • Ability to balance Agile practices with traditional frameworks (e.g., PRINCE2)
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Experience in the public sector is a plus
