Infrastructure Specialist

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Infrastructure Specialist to ensure the continuity and reliability of a critical on-premise platform. You will work in a DevOps team and be responsible for daily infrastructure management, monitoring, patching, incident resolution, changes, reporting, and automation.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain on-premise server environments, including OS and hardware.
• Perform monitoring, patching, changes, incident resolution, and reporting.
• Manage VMware virtualisation, IIS, web services, databases, and applications.
• Work with HCI platforms and infrastructure management tools.
• Automate infrastructure and management tasks using PowerShell and Azure DevOps.
• Develop and maintain technical management documentation.
• Support continuous improvement and Agile/DevOps ways of working.
• Ensure high availability and continuity of the critical platform.

Requirements

• HBO-level education or equivalent experience in technical infrastructure.
• Several years of experience managing complex infrastructure environments.
• Strong knowledge of:
  • On-premise server management
  • VMware and virtualisation
  • IIS and web services
  • Databases, data, and applications
  • SCOM monitoring
  • HCI and management tooling
  • PowerShell scripting
  • Azure DevOps automation
• Experience creating technical documentation.
• Microsoft certifications for recent Windows Server versions are an advantage.
• Strong communication, collaboration, problem-solving, and ownership skills.
• Experience working according to Agile/DevOps principles.
• Willingness to participate in stand-by services, with a maximum travel time of 60 minutes.

Assignment Details

• Location: Groningen
• On-site: Minimum 2 days per week
• Hours: 36 hours/week
