ICT Architect

Overview

A leading healthcare and social care organization is seeking an experienced ICT Architect to support and strengthen its architecture governance and technology decision-making processes. The role focuses on ensuring that ICT solutions remain secure, scalable, reusable, and aligned with the organization's target architecture and strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and assess project proposals against architectural standards and target architecture.
  • Provide architectural guidance, recommendations, risk assessments, and alternative solution options.
  • Define and maintain integration principles, architecture standards, and reference architectures.
  • Evaluate application and solution designs for scalability, maintainability, security, and operational viability.
  • Assess integration architectures, APIs, monitoring, error handling, versioning, and interoperability requirements.
  • Advise on infrastructure and technology decisions, including cloud, hybrid environments, hosting, identity management, and operational management.
  • Support project teams and technical experts with solution designs and high-level architecture decisions.
  • Contribute to architecture governance, documentation standards, and knowledge sharing across the organization.
  • Promote security-by-design and compliance-focused architecture practices.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Extensive experience in Application and Solution Architecture.
  • Strong expertise in Enterprise Integration Architecture and platform strategy.
  • Proven experience in Architecture Governance and architectural decision-making.
  • Solid understanding of infrastructure architecture, cloud environments, and operational management.
  • Experience evaluating enterprise solutions such as ERP, CRM, document management, planning, or BI platforms.
  • Knowledge of security architecture, identity management, data governance, and compliance requirements.
  • Experience defining architecture standards, principles, and reference models.
  • Strong stakeholder management, coaching, and advisory skills.
