Functional Analyst
Location: Brussels, Belgium (1060)
Work Setup: Hybrid (up to 3 days remote per week)

Duration: Initial contract until 31/12/2026 (extension possible)

Role Overview
We are looking for a Functional Analyst who can manage the full lifecycle of projects in an Agile environment. The ideal candidate will act as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring that business needs are accurately translated into effective functional solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain strong relationships with business stakeholders, project teams, and partners
- Analyze and document existing business processes and identify new functional and non-functional requirements
- Translate business needs into functional analyses and solution designs
- Collaborate with technical teams to validate functional designs and translate them into technical specifications
- Ensure end-to-end follow-up on the delivery of new functionalities and applications
- Produce and maintain project documentation across all phases
- Work closely with business analysts, developers, and project managers to refine and validate solutions
- Report on progress, support decision-making, and manage risks and escalations
Key Deliverables
- Functional and analysis documentation
- Software Requirements Specifications (SRS)
- Data models and diagrams
- User stories
- Test plans and test cases
Working Conditions
- Full-time (Monday to Friday, approx. 7h48 per day)
- Hybrid model: up to 3 days remote per week
- Long-term opportunity with potential extension
- Office located near Brussels South Station
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong experience in functional and business analysis in complex environments
- Solid understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies

Experience with:
- UML and BPMN for process and system modeling
- Writing user stories and functional documentation
- Test analysis and design
- Ability to quickly understand and abstract complex business processes
- Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Customer-focused and solution-oriented mindset
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Comfortable supervising or supporting junior team members
Technical Environment (Nice to Have)

Familiarity with technologies such as:
- Java (J2EE, Java 8)
- Oracle
- Hibernate
- JUnit, Selenium
- Maven, Git
- Jira, Confluence
- Understanding of technical concepts such as APIs, data mappings, services, and batch processing
Languages
- French or Dutch – Active knowledge (spoken, written, and reading technical documentation)
- English – Active knowledge (especially for documentation)
- Knowledge of the second national language is a plus
Eligibility Requirement
- Due to the nature of the role, Belgian nationality is required
