SAP IS-U IT Manager / Senior IT Project Manager

Overview

We are seeking an experienced SAP IS-U IT Manager to lead the evolution, governance, and operational management of a large-scale SAP IS-U and SAP S/4HANA ecosystem. The role combines strategic leadership, project portfolio management, vendor management, and team leadership within a critical utility environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and drive the SAP IS-U and SAP S/4HANA technology and application strategy.
  • Lead platform upgrades, lifecycle management, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Oversee operational management, capacity planning, and service continuity.
  • Manage relationships with external SAP implementation and support partners.
  • Govern the SAP project portfolio, including planning, prioritization, and resource allocation.
  • Lead and develop multidisciplinary teams, including internal and external consultants.
  • Establish and maintain technical, functional, and architectural standards.
  • Manage budgets, staffing, training, and performance objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with GDPR, ISO 27001, and NIS2 requirements.
  • Contribute to the overall IT strategy and digital transformation roadmap.

Required Experience

  • Extensive experience in SAP project and team management.
  • Strong expertise in SAP IS-U and SAP S/4HANA environments.
  • Experience managing ERP Competence Centers and governance frameworks.
  • Proven track record in full-cycle SAP implementations.
  • Experience leading large mixed teams of internal and external resources.
  • Strong knowledge of project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Scrum).

  • SAP S/4 IS-U (B&I, FI-CA, CM, DMM)
  • SAP S/4HANA
  • SAP CPI
  • OpenText solutions (xECM, Archiving, Directory Services, Document Presentment)
  • ERP governance and enterprise architecture

  • Dutch: Professional proficiency
  • English: Professional proficiency

Location

Brussels, Belgium (Hybrid)

Contract

Long-term assignment with a strong on-site presence requirement (minimum 3 days per week).
