IT Project Manager – ANPR (Automatic Number Plate Recognition) Project

Leading the coordination and delivery of a national Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) initiative supporting law enforcement operations and traffic safety. The project focuses on the integration of intelligent camera systems capable of identifying vehicle number plates and comparing them with existing databases (e.g., stolen vehicles, restricted vehicles, or vehicles linked to investigations).

Key Responsibilities

Identify improvement opportunities within the ANPR ecosystem and propose technical and operational solutions
Analyse and document the specific needs of individual police zones and stakeholders
Develop structured project plans based on validated requirements and operational parameters
Monitor and report on project progress, including risks, bottlenecks, issues, and mitigation strategies
Provide recommendations, alternatives, and action plans to ensure successful project delivery
Design and implement quality management processes to ensure project deliverables meet required standards
Establish project tracking, reporting, and documentation using collaboration tools such as JIRA and Confluence

Additional Responsibilities

Contribute to strategic planning related to future camera integrations, network connectivity, and infrastructure evolution
Support alignment of camera systems with broader network architecture and connectivity requirements

Skills & Expertise

IT Project Management in complex technical environments
Infrastructure monitoring, reporting, and documentation
Integration and migration of systems within existing infrastructures
Network architecture and connectivity (LAN / WAN / VLAN / VPN)
Security concepts and firewall management
Business continuity, backup strategies, and risk mitigation
Technical analysis and translation of business requirements into technical solutions
Stakeholder coordination within multi-actor environments
