About the Role
We are is seeking a Data Warehouse Developer / Data Standards Product Owner to strengthen the our data standards team.
In this role, you will drive the development, implementation, and governance of data standards and data products, ensuring interoperability across government systems. You'll act as a key bridge between technical teams, stakeholders, and partners—helping shape the future of data exchange within the Flemish Government.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and optimize data warehouse solutions
- Lead the development and implementation of data standards (OSLO)
- Ensure quality assurance and validation of data standard deliverables
- Coordinate with internal teams and external partners
- Translate business needs into data products and service proposals
- Manage and monitor the data standards pipeline
- Define and communicate vision, roadmap, and strategy for data standards
- Support interoperability and data governance initiatives
Required Skills & Experience
- Minimum 3+ years' experience in data warehouse modeling
- Experience with Agile project delivery (4+ years preferred)

Strong knowledge of:
- Data warehousing concepts, architecture, and processes
- ETL, BI/reporting, databases, and metadata management
- Experience with tools such as Cognos or DataStage
- Experience with RDF (4+ years)
- Knowledge of UML
- Experience in digital transformation and data product development
- Ability to work in project-oriented environments
- Fluent Dutch (C2 level – CEFR)
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience within the Flemish government
- Familiarity with OSLO data standards

Experience with:
- JSON-LD
- BPMN
- Agile/Scrum environments
- Experience translating interoperability vision into strategy and roadmap
- Master's degree in IT or related field
- Experience improving semantic interoperability
Tech & Data Environment
- Modeling: UML, RDF (Turtle, JSON-LD)
- Data Stack: ETL, BI tools, databases, metadata systems
- Tools: Cognos, DataStage
- Methodologies: Agile, Scrum
