Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Python Developer to join the BB8 team within the Development Tooling department. You will design and build a new Python-based front-end solution for the Box.com SaaS platform, enabling internal users to manage content more securely, intuitively, and efficiently.

This role sits within a DevOps environment that manages key collaboration and portfolio management tools such as Confluence, Jira Align, and AURA. You will help transform complex backend capabilities into user-friendly interfaces and contribute to continuous improvement across multiple enterprise platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop a Python-based front-end for Box.com integrations.
• Improve usability, accessibility, and user experience across internal tooling.
• Ensure all solutions meet security, compliance, and governance standards.
• Support users, troubleshoot issues, and drive continuous platform improvements.
• Collaborate within a DevOps team managing Confluence, Jira Align, AURA, and Box.com.
• Contribute to additional applications managed by the BB8 team once the Box.com front-end is delivered.

Working Environment

The BB8 team is part of the Development Tooling department, responsible for delivering a modern, secure, and scalable collaboration environment for engineers across the organisation. BB8 focuses on:

• Collaboration tools: Confluence
• Portfolio management: Jira Align, AURA
• Content management: Box.com

The team operates with end-to-end DevOps ownership, emphasising collaboration, automation, and continuous improvement.

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong experience as a Python Developer.
• Experience or interest in frontend development using Python frameworks (pre).
• Experience with APIs and SaaS integrations.
• Affinity with developer tooling or enterprise platforms.
• Understanding of security and compliance requirements.
• Proactive, collaborative, and user-focused mindset.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a DevOps environment.
• English proficiency (no Dutch required).
