We are looking for an experienced Medior Innovation Consultant to support the implementation of AI-driven innovation initiatives within an educational and public sector environment. This role focuses on translating ongoing AI research into sustainable operational implementation across examination and assessment processes.
The initial scope centers around AI-assisted support for NT2 testing, with solutions designed to scale toward additional examination and assessment environments.
You will lead the implementation and change management trajectory end-to-end, from strategic planning and stakeholder alignment to training, rollout, adoption, and long-term operational embedding.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead implementation and change management initiatives related to AI-supported examination processes
- Translate AI research outcomes into scalable operational solutions
- Coordinate alignment between business, IT, and operational stakeholders
- Support rollout and adoption of AI-assisted correction and oral examination processes
- Develop governance, quality assurance, and operational implementation frameworks
- Facilitate training sessions and knowledge transfer to internal teams
- Ensure sustainable embedding of methodologies and processes within the organization
- Contribute to process optimization and continuous improvement initiatives
- Support AI innovation initiatives while ensuring compliance with GDPR and EU AI Act requirements
Required Skills & Experience
Must-Have
- Proven experience as an Innovation Consultant
- Strong experience as an Innovation Manager
- Experience supporting the implementation of technology or AI initiatives across multiple language-testing environments
- Experience within the public sector

Strong knowledge of:
- GDPR
- EU AI Act
- Bachelor's or Master's degree, or equivalent experience
- Native or near-native Dutch proficiency (CEFR C2)
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience within the Flemish government environment

Background in:
- Process Engineering
- Lean Manufacturing
- Continuous Improvement
- Experience in business process management and project management

Knowledge of AI platforms and tools such as:
- Claude
- ChatGPT
- Gemini
- Experience within the education sector

Additional Information
- Hybrid working arrangement available
- Estimated workload: approximately 640 hours
- Six-month engagement with approximately 60% allocation
- Strong focus on sustainable knowledge transfer and internal capability building
- Candidate selection weighting: 50% quality / 50% price
