Job Title: Cybersecurity Engineer

Location: Namur, Belgium (Hybrid – primarily on-site)

Role Overview

We are seeking a Cybersecurity Engineer to support the implementation of cybersecurity and NIS2 compliance initiatives within a large-scale IT transformation environment. The role focuses on securing operational IT environments, implementing technical security controls, and supporting infrastructure and project teams with security-by-design practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the inventory and management of IT assets, systems, and infrastructure components
  • Implement and maintain system hardening and security configurations across servers, networks, identities, endpoints, and cloud platforms
  • Support project teams in integrating security requirements during design and implementation phases
  • Configure and manage technical security mechanisms such as patch management, vulnerability management, logging, monitoring, and IAM controls
  • Assist in the operational implementation of security architectures and cybersecurity roadmaps
  • Analyze technical security gaps identified through audits or risk assessments and support remediation activities
  • Produce technical evidence and documentation required for NIS2 compliance
  • Collaborate closely with infrastructure, operations, and security teams as the technical security reference point

Required Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in IT, Cybersecurity, or related field
  • Experience in IT infrastructure, systems, networks, or cybersecurity engineering roles
  • Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Linux, firewalls, and operational IT environments
  • Experience with cybersecurity hardening, vulnerability management, and security monitoring
  • Familiarity with CMDB, IAM, patch management, and security compliance practices
  • Understanding of cybersecurity principles and NIS2 requirements
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

Languages

  • French: Native or fluent proficiency required
  • English: Basic/passive knowledge

Additional Information

  • Full-time assignment primarily based on-site in Namur
  • Occasional travel within Wallonia may be required
  • Working hours aligned with standard daytime operations
