Role Overview

Seeking an experienced Performance Engineer to improve the speed, stability, scalability, and efficiency of digital applications. This role combines hands-on performance testing with strategic analysis and advisory responsibilities, contributing to high-quality user experiences across complex systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, execute, and analyze performance tests (load, stress, endurance)
  • Develop and maintain performance test scripts
  • Interpret performance data and provide actionable insights
  • Identify root causes of performance issues and recommend improvements
  • Define and implement performance testing strategies and best practices
  • Evaluate system architecture and design from a performance perspective
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, architects, and product owners
  • Support continuous performance improvement across multiple teams and systems
  • Lead knowledge sharing and act as a subject matter expert

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in IT or related field
  • Minimum 6 years of experience in performance engineering or similar role
  • Strong knowledge of performance testing and monitoring tools
  • Experience with programming/scripting languages
  • Proven ability to analyze and resolve performance issues in complex environments
  • Familiarity with web and mobile application technologies
  • Experience working in Agile and DevOps environments
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams
  • Fluent in Dutch and English (written and spoken)
