Role Overview
Seeking an experienced Performance Engineer to improve the speed, stability, scalability, and efficiency of digital applications. This role combines hands-on performance testing with strategic analysis and advisory responsibilities, contributing to high-quality user experiences across complex systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, execute, and analyze performance tests (load, stress, endurance)
- Develop and maintain performance test scripts
- Interpret performance data and provide actionable insights
- Identify root causes of performance issues and recommend improvements
- Define and implement performance testing strategies and best practices
- Evaluate system architecture and design from a performance perspective
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, architects, and product owners
- Support continuous performance improvement across multiple teams and systems
- Lead knowledge sharing and act as a subject matter expert
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in IT or related field
- Minimum 6 years of experience in performance engineering or similar role
- Strong knowledge of performance testing and monitoring tools
- Experience with programming/scripting languages
- Proven ability to analyze and resolve performance issues in complex environments
- Familiarity with web and mobile application technologies
- Experience working in Agile and DevOps environments
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams
- Fluent in Dutch and English (written and spoken)
