About the Role

We are looking for a Medior .NET Developer to support key digital initiatives within the banking department.

You will be part of a dynamic Agile development team, contributing to the design, development, and maintenance of modern web applications with real societal impact in the agricultural sector.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, test, and maintain .NET-based applications
  • Write clean, efficient, and scalable C# code
  • Perform debugging, testing, and troubleshooting
  • Collaborate with team members on planning and delivery (Agile/Scrum)
  • Ensure alignment with architecture and quality standards
  • Contribute to documentation and knowledge sharing
  • Work independently when needed (e.g., maintenance tasks)

Project Context

You will contribute to impactful digital projects such as:

  • Sampling Application (SNAPP 2.0) – enabling farmers to request soil sampling and track results
  • Field Monitoring Application (TOA) – planning and tracking inspections and field activities
  • Integration with enforcement platforms within the Flemish regulatory framework

Required Skills & Experience

  • Minimum 3–4 years' experience in .NET development
  • Strong expertise in:
    • C#, .NET, ASP.NET Core (Web API / REST)
    • Angular & TypeScript
    • MS SQL Server
    • Entity Framework
  • Experience with design patterns and object-oriented programming
  • Proven ability to code, test, and debug efficiently
  • Experience working in Agile environments (Scrum)
  • Experience in public/government sector
  • Relevant education or certification in software development
  • Fluent Dutch (C2 level – CEFR)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with:
    • Azure DevOps (pipelines)
    • NgRx
    • NHibernate
    • RabbitMQ
  • Experience with unit and integration testing
  • Knowledge of agriculture or manure policy systems (a plus)
  • Experience with GIS development
  • Familiarity with responsive/mobile design

Tech Environment

  • Backend: .NET (4.8 / .NET 10), C#, ASP.NET Core
  • Frontend: Angular, TypeScript, NgRx
  • Data & Messaging: MS SQL Server, RabbitMQ, ElasticSearch
  • Tools: Azure DevOps, SharePoint, SonarQube, ArcGIS, GitHub Copilot
  • Environment: Windows Server, IIS
