About the Role
We are seeking an experienced AWS Serverless Data Engineer to join our team in Amsterdam. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in cloud-native, serverless architectures on AWS, with strong data engineering capabilities and a passion for building scalable, reliable systems. This role focuses on designing and delivering cloud-based solutions that support modern data platforms and enterprise applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable serverless solutions on AWS
• Develop and optimize data pipelines and workflows
• Implement infrastructure as code using AWS CDK
• Collaborate with engineering teams to deploy and maintain CI/CD pipelines
• Ensure best practices in security, monitoring, and reliability across AWS environments
• Build and support APIs and microservices using AWS serverless technologies
• Develop efficient data processing and querying solutions

Required Skills & Experience

• 8–10 years of experience in cloud engineering, data engineering, or related roles
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS serverless services including:
  • S3
  • Athena
  • Step Functions
  • Lambda
  • Glue
  • IAM
  • DynamoDB
  • API Gateway
• Proficiency in Python and SQL
• Experience with AWS CDK for infrastructure as code
• Strong understanding of DevOps principles and CI/CD pipelines
• Strong data engineering background with experience building data pipelines and data solutions

Preferred Skills

• Experience building highly scalable, distributed systems
• Strong understanding of cloud security and governance
• Experience working in Agile environments
