Job Title: Senior Data Engineer

Job Description:

We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to support the design, development, and optimization of data solutions. You will be responsible for building and maintaining ETL processes, developing scalable data pipelines, and contributing to data warehouse design. The role requires strong experience with databases, data engineering best practices, and programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain ETL processes and data pipelines.
• Build and optimize data warehouse solutions.
• Work with relational databases and large datasets.
• Develop data integration solutions using Python, Java, or Scala.
• Ensure data quality, performance, and reliability.
• Collaborate with technical and business stakeholders to deliver data-driven solutions.

Required Skills:

• 5+ years of experience as a Data Engineer.
• Strong experience with data warehouse modeling.
• Experience designing and implementing ETL processes.
• Hands-on experience with Python, Java, or Scala for data engineering.
• Experience with Tableau.
• Strong knowledge of databases and SQL.
• Native-level Dutch (CEFR C2).

Nice to Have:

• Experience working within a government/public sector environment.
• Additional experience with database design and enterprise data architecture.

• Location: Hybrid
• Start Date: September 2026
• Duration: Until December 2026 (extension possible depending on project needs)
• Language: Dutch (C2 required)
