Sr. STIBO Engineer (Support Executive)

Location: Amsterdam, Netherlands Start Date: Immediately Duration: 6 months (Contract)

Role Overview

We are seeking a Senior STIBO Engineer to join our AMS team in Amsterdam. This role is pivotal in maintaining and enhancing Sligro's Master Data Platform using STIBO STEP applications. As a senior engineer, you will act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME), guiding and mentoring developers and support engineers while ensuring delivery excellence across ITSM and DevSecOps KPIs.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and enhance STIBO STEP applications within the AMS team.
• Guide and mentor STIBO STEP developers and support engineers.
• Act as SME for the Master Data Management (MDM) platform.
• Drive delivery KPIs (SLA, MTTR, incident reduction, escalation management).
• Support DevSecOps KPIs (DORA metrics, deployment rate).
• Collaborate with business users, procurement teams, and multi-vendor ecosystems.

Must-Have Skills & Knowledge

• Strong expertise in STIBO STEP platform (MDM).
• Data modeling (entities, hierarchies, attributes).
• Workflow configuration (approval workflows, governance flows).
• Business rules & validation frameworks.
• Hands-on experience in:
  • Product/Article master data management
  • Supplier & assortment data handling
  • Data governance, stewardship, and quality rules
  • Data lifecycle management (create, update, enrich, publish)
• Integration knowledge: REST/SOAP APIs, file-based integrations, AS400, SAP/S4HANA, Thinkwise.
• SQL queries, data validation, reconciliation, troubleshooting.
• Incident triaging, RCA, ITSM tools, monitoring pipelines.

Good-to-Have Skills

• Automation tools for repetitive support activities.
• Knowledge graph/documentation tools.
• AI-assisted troubleshooting or reverse engineering.
• Product lifecycle & assortment management.
• Pricing, promotions, catalog publishing.
• Logistics & supply chain data dependencies.
• SAP master data structures, IDocs, APIs, middleware.
• DevOps basics: monitoring, logging, CI/CD concepts.

Soft Skills

• Ability to diagnose complex data issues across fragmented systems.

Experience

• 6–8 years in STIBO Master Data Management.
