Application Developer (Java Full Stack)
We are looking for an experienced Application Developer to support the takeover, maintenance, modernization, and development of a portfolio of business-critical applications within a large enterprise environment. You will work on both maintaining existing systems and re-engineering applications to align with modern development standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and enhance business applications and web services.
- Participate in the takeover and knowledge transfer of existing applications.
- Re-engineer and modernize legacy applications using current technologies and best practices.
- Design and develop application components in collaboration with technical leads and software architects.
- Build RESTful APIs and full-stack web applications.
- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, technical workshops, and user meetings.
- Perform unit testing, technical documentation, deployment, and reporting using Jira and related tools.
- Troubleshoot, maintain, and improve existing codebases in complex multi-system environments.
Required Skills & Experience
- Minimum 7 years of professional Java development experience (full-stack preferred).

- Angular 19+
- RESTful APIs & OpenAPI
- Maven
- Docker
- Git
- NPM
- PostgreSQL, SQL Server, and relational databases
- JUnit, Mockito, Cypress (Test-Driven Development)
- BPMN and UML
- Experience working with Agile/Scrum methodologies and CI/CD practices.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to understand and maintain existing applications.

Work Arrangement
- Hybrid role with a minimum of 2 days onsite per week in Brussels.
- Initial contract until 30 September 2026, with strong possibility of extension.
