Chief Enterprise Architect – Namur | Hybrid

We are looking for an experienced Chief Enterprise Architect to lead the definition and implementation of an Enterprise Architecture framework and the transformation roadmap for a large, multi-entity environment.

Location: Namur, Belgium
Work model: Hybrid, with regular on-site collaboration
Start: ASAP
Duration: Until August 2027
Commitment: Full-time / approximately 120 days
Experience: 10+ years in Enterprise Architecture / IT Architecture / IT Urbanisation

Your Mission

You will take overall ownership of the Enterprise Architecture framework and ensure the coherence, quality and governance of the organisation's transformation initiatives.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Define and implement an Enterprise Architecture repository/framework
  • Develop and maintain IS and application landscape mapping
  • Model business, functional, organisational, application, data and technical architectures using ArchiMate
  • Define architecture principles, standards and reusable patterns
  • Establish an Architecture Governance framework, including roles, policies and standards
  • Develop transformation roadmaps and target-state architectures
  • Ensure alignment between business strategy, IT investments and organisational objectives
  • Integrate security, compliance, resilience and continuity requirements, including NIS2 and GDPR
  • Facilitate architecture governance committees and management-level presentations
  • Coordinate with business stakeholders, process owners, data experts and technical teams
  • Drive cross-organisation alignment and manage architectural complexity and technical debt

Required Experience & Skills

  • 10+ years of experience in Enterprise Architecture, IT Architecture or IT Urbanisation
  • Proven experience defining and deploying Enterprise Architecture frameworks and transformation roadmaps
  • Strong experience advising senior management and executive stakeholders
  • Experience working in multi-business, multi-entity or complex organisational environments
  • Expert knowledge of TOGAF and ArchiMate
  • Strong expertise in:
    • Enterprise Architecture
    • Architecture Governance
    • Business, Application, Data & Technology Architecture
    • IT Roadmaps and Transformation
    • Stakeholder Management
    • GDPR
    • Cross-organisational governance

Nice to Have

Experience within:

  • Public sector or public-service organisations
  • Utilities such as water or energy
  • Technical organisations operating industrial or geospatial information systems
  • GIS / Geomatics
  • ERP / SAP and application integration
  • SCADA, IoT and sensor environments
  • Asset Management
  • NIS2 and IT resilience

Soft Skills
