Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced GoLang Developer / Platform Engineer to join the Development Tooling department within the Platform Technology (IT4IT) organisation. You will contribute to the engineering, automation, and support of a large‑scale CI/CD platform used by more than 4,000 IT engineers across the organisation.
This role is ideal for a hands‑on engineer with strong GoLang development skills, deep understanding of cloud infrastructure (Azure), Kubernetes, CI/CD tooling, and a SecDevOps mindset.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain GoLang‑based applications supporting production CI/CD workflows.
- Engineer and support CI/CD platform components used by thousands of developers.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines with a strong focus on automation and compliance.
- Provide L2 support for critical business applications and resolve complex incidents.
- Install, configure, and maintain COTS solutions on both cloud and on‑prem environments.
- Troubleshoot network, infrastructure, and OS‑level issues (Linux focus).
- Develop and maintain Infrastructure‑as‑Code (Ansible playbooks).
- Collaborate with platform teams to enhance tooling, automation, and developer experience.
- Work with tools such as Azure DevOps, SonarQube, Nexus Lifecycle, Fortify, Nexus Repository Manager, Confluence, Ansible Tower, NeoLoad, and more.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Strong hands‑on experience as a GoLang Developer.
- Solid foundation in Azure cloud infrastructure and Kubernetes.
- Experience with Ansible Tower, CI tools, and artifact repository tools (e.g., Nexus).
- Minimum 3 years hands‑on experience as an OPS Engineer.
- Strong understanding of OS concepts and Linux administration.
- Experience supporting critical business applications at L2 level.
- Hands‑on experience with Infrastructure‑as‑Code (Ansible).
- Knowledge of PostgreSQL (preferred).
- SecDevOps mindset with passion for automation.
