Job Overview

We are seeking a hands-on Pega Business Analyst with strong experience in Pega Constellation to lead end-to-end journey design using App Studio. This role requires a professional who can bridge business and IT, drive data-model-first design, and deliver scalable, configuration-driven solutions across multiple markets and products.

Key Responsibilities

1. Business Analysis & Journey Design

• Lead discovery sessions and translate business needs into App Studio models
• Define case types, stages, steps, and success criteria aligned to business outcomes
• Design end-to-end customer journeys with clear traceability

2. Data Model Design

• Design robust data models including entities, attributes, and relationships
• Ensure UI behavior is derived from well-structured data definitions
• Apply a data-model-first approach to solution design

3. Application Configuration

• Configure applications directly in App Studio (case types, data objects, relationships)
• Minimize reliance on Dev Studio and custom development
• Promote a configuration-over-customization approach

4. Process & Case Management

• Define case hierarchies (parent-child, related cases)
• Orchestrate workflows, SLAs, and cross-case interactions
• Reuse standard automations and smart shapes within workflows

5. Collaboration & Delivery

• Work closely with architects, developers, and integration teams
• Manage backlog items using tools like Azure DevOps or Jira
• Participate in sprint planning, grooming, and PI planning

6. Quality & Governance

• Ensure adherence to naming standards, guardrails, and best practices
• Define acceptance criteria, test scenarios, and ensure traceability
• Support QA and UAT processes

7. Stakeholder Engagement & Change Management

• Conduct workshops with business, compliance, and operations teams
• Document user stories and align on measurable outcomes
• Drive adoption of Constellation and guide teams transitioning from legacy approaches

Required Skills & Experience

• 6–8 years of Business Analysis experience
• 2–3+ years of hands-on experience with Pega Constellation
• Strong experience delivering solutions in App Studio
• Proven expertise in:
  • Data-model-first design
  • Case management and workflow design
  • Configuration-driven development
• Hands-on experience with:
  • Case types, data objects, relationships
  • Reusable automations and smart shapes
  • Exception handling and alternate flows
• Strong understanding of:
  • Agile methodologies
  • Stakeholder management
  • Business process modeling
• Experience working with:
  • Azure DevOps or Jira

Preferred Skills

• Experience working in multi-market or multi-product environments
• Exposure to compliance-driven or regulated industries
• Strong communication and facilitation skills

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Business, IT, Computer Science, or a related field (preferred)
