Key Responsibilities
- Led the governance and coordination of vulnerability management activities across infrastructure and security teams.
- Oversaw the identification, prioritization, and remediation tracking of critical vulnerabilities across Linux, Windows, middleware, and network environments.
- Utilized ServiceNow Vulnerability Response as the central platform to manage vulnerabilities, remediation tasks, and exception processes.
- Integrated and analyzed vulnerability data from external scanners (e.g., Rapid7) to improve detection accuracy and reduce noise.
- Provided management visibility through dashboards, reporting, and risk analysis related to active vulnerabilities and remediation progress.
- Acted as a central coordination point between multiple stakeholders including infrastructure teams, security analysts, ITIL process owners, and remediation teams.
- Managed escalation paths when remediation processes were blocked or delayed.
- Identified operational and organizational issues impacting vulnerability management, including recurring vulnerabilities, version mismatches, and unused components.
- Proposed process improvements and governance enhancements to increase efficiency and strengthen the organization's vulnerability response framework.
- Supported compliance and alignment with cybersecurity frameworks and regulatory initiatives.
