Senior Java Full-Stack Developer

Location: Brussels (hybrid – on-site required)
Contract: Long-term detachment 
Duration: ASAP – 31/12/2026 (full-time, ~9 months initial term)
Language: French or Dutch + English (professional level)


Role

Senior Java Full-Stack Developer responsible for end-to-end delivery of enterprise applications (design, development, testing, deployment).

Key Responsibilities

• Develop & maintain Java-based business applications
• Build REST/SOAP web services and components
• Contribute to architecture (with tech leads/architects)
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies & workshops
• Support testing, documentation, and deployment
• Collaborate with analysts and business users

Must Have Skills

• 5–7+ years Java development experience
• Java, Spring Framework (Boot, Security)
• JPA / Hibernate
• REST & SOAP APIs
• Microservices / SOA
• JUnit, Mockito, CI/CD experience
• HTML/CSS/JavaScript + Angular (or strong frontend affinity)
• Maven, Git/SVN, Jenkins
• Docker, OpenShift (or similar)
• SQL (PostgreSQL / SQL Server)
• Agile/Scrum environment
• UML / BPMN reading ability

Nice to Have

• Kafka / event-driven architecture
• Oracle DB
• Talend, ZK
• BPM tools

Soft Skills

• Strong problem solver, quick understanding of legacy systems
• Team player in large enterprise setup
• Able to mentor junior developers
• Strong communication & documentation skills
