Role Overview

As an Environmental Management Advisor, you will support and advise on environmental management activities related to the maintenance and replacement of multiple road tunnels within a regional network.

You will contribute to ensuring safe, accessible, and efficient infrastructure operations while maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support operational and tactical environmental management for tunnel maintenance and replacement projects
  • Advise on traffic flow, safety, and stakeholder impact during project execution
  • Coordinate with contractors and internal teams to monitor and manage environmental impacts
  • Ensure timely and clear communication with stakeholders, including handling input for press inquiries
  • Identify external developments and assess their impact on project execution
  • Assist in preparation and execution of infrastructure projects and maintenance activities
  • Contribute to stakeholder engagement and project communication strategies

Key Requirements

  • Completed higher professional education (HBO level or equivalent)
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as an Environmental Advisor
  • Proven experience in environmental management within tunnel or infrastructure projects
  • Knowledge of stakeholders, supply chains, and regional infrastructure environments
  • Experience working with DBFM and maintenance/performance contracts
  • Experience in administrative or governmental environments
  • Experience with contract preparation and tendering processes
  • Strong command of Dutch (spoken and written)

Preferred Experience

  • Environmental management during maintenance phases
  • Experience working in IPM teams or similar structures
  • Background in traffic engineering or road network projects
  • Experience with stakeholder management and project conditioning
  • Involvement in regional infrastructure projects
