Job Title: Big Data Engineer (Microsoft BI & Databricks)
Location: Brussels, Belgium (Hybrid – 2 days onsite, 3 days remote within Belgium)
Job Overview
We are looking for an experienced Big Data Engineer to join a multidisciplinary data team delivering high-impact analytics solutions in the healthcare sector. You will design, develop, and maintain data warehouses, data marts, and BI solutions using the Microsoft BI stack while supporting the organization's transition to Azure Databricks.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, deploy, and maintain data warehouses and data marts using Kimball methodology.
- Build ETL/data ingestion solutions using the Microsoft BI stack.
- Develop reports and dashboards using Power BI and SSRS.
- Collaborate with Data Architects, Technical Leads, Project Managers, and business stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
- Test, troubleshoot, document, and maintain BI solutions.
- Conduct demonstrations and provide training on data models to business users.
- Support the migration and adoption of Azure Databricks.
Required Skills & Experience
- Minimum 7 years' experience as a Data Engineer.
- Strong expertise with the Microsoft BI Stack (SSIS, SSAS, SSMS, SSRS, SQL Server, Visual Studio).
- Solid experience in Data Warehouse design using Kimball dimensional modelling.
- Good SQL Server development skills.
- Experience with Power BI reporting.
- Knowledge of Azure Databricks and Python is an advantage.
- Experience working in Agile environments is a plus.

Language Requirements
- Active knowledge of Dutch and French.
- Passive knowledge of English.
Work Arrangement
- Hybrid role.
- Minimum 2 days per week onsite in Brussels.
- Remote work is permitted within Belgium only.
