Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced IT Business Analyst with strong expertise in Daily Banking (savings, current accounts, payments) to support digital banking initiatives in the Dutch market. The ideal candidate brings deep functional knowledge, strong analytical capabilities, and the ability to translate business needs into clear IT requirements within a regulated financial environment.

Key Responsibilities

Requirements & Functional Analysis

• Translate business needs into precise IT requirements, functional specifications, and user stories.
• Analyse and enhance Daily Banking processes across payments, accounts, cards, and digital channels (online & mobile banking).
• Ensure all solutions meet Dutch banking regulations, compliance standards, and customer expectations.

Stakeholder Collaboration

• Work closely with business stakeholders, product owners, developers, architects, and QA teams.
• Facilitate workshops, requirement‑gathering sessions, and cross‑functional discussions.
• Act as a bridge between business and technology teams to ensure alignment and clarity.

Solution Design & Testing

• Support solution design, functional validation, and end‑to‑end testing.
• Troubleshoot issues, analyse root causes, and ensure timely resolution.
• Maintain high‑quality documentation throughout the project lifecycle.

Delivery & Governance

• Manage project timelines, deliverables, and dependencies.
• Ensure adherence to banking standards, security guidelines, and operational processes.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of BA practices and digital banking capabilities.

Essential Skills

• Strong experience in Daily Banking: savings, current accounts, payments, cards, digital channels.
• Proven IT Business Analysis experience (6–8 years).
• Ability to translate business needs into IT requirements and functional specifications.
• Experience facilitating workshops, defining user stories, and supporting solution design.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
• Experience creating and maintaining technical documentation.
• Excellent project and time management skills.
• English proficiency (no local language requirement).

Good‑to‑Have Skills

• Prior experience working with ING.
• Strong understanding of the broader Financial/Banking domain.
