We are looking for an experienced Network Security Engineer – AlgoSec to join a dynamic team in Eindhoven, Netherlands. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in AlgoSec, firewall security management, and network security operations (L2/L3 support), with hands-on experience across enterprise firewall environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain AlgoSec solutions including AFA, FireFlow, and AppViz.
• Review, analyze, and optimize firewall policies across multiple firewall vendors to ensure security compliance and reduce operational risk.
• Automate network security activities using scripting technologies, preferably Python.
• Conduct firewall vulnerability assessments and implement remediation measures.
• Utilize AlgoSec AppViz to map business applications with network connectivity and security policies.
• Manage and automate firewall policy change requests using AlgoSec FireFlow, ensuring compliance and approval workflows are followed.
• Troubleshoot and resolve firewall and network security incidents.
• Generate reports on firewall health, compliance, and organizational risk posture using AlgoSec analytics tools.
• Coordinate with firewall vendors and AlgoSec support teams for upgrades, troubleshooting, and patch management.
• Provide technical guidance and best practices to internal teams on firewall governance and AlgoSec usage.

Must-Have Skills

• Strong hands-on experience with AlgoSec
• Network Security L2/L3 support experience
• Firewall administration and policy management
• Experience with:
  • Cisco ASA
  • Cisco Firepower
  • Fortigate Firewalls

Good-to-Have Skills

• Proxy technologies
• Splunk
• WAF (Web Application Firewall)

Required Experience

• 6–8 years of experience in Network Security
• Strong understanding of enterprise firewall operations and security governance
• Experience in large-scale or enterprise environments preferred
