Job Overview

We are looking for a skilled MS Purview Support Engineer to support and enhance data protection and compliance solutions across the organization. The role focuses on managing Microsoft Purview, Microsoft Information Protection (MIP/AIP), and Data Loss Prevention (DLP) technologies to ensure robust data security and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

1. Microsoft Purview & Data Protection

  • Manage and support Microsoft Purview, including sensitivity labels, auto-labeling, and DLP policies
  • Ensure effective implementation of data classification and governance controls

2. Incident Management & Troubleshooting

  • Troubleshoot issues related to MIP/AIP and Purview
  • Handle DLP incidents, including analysis, fine-tuning, and reporting
  • Manage Active Directory group assignments and user onboarding

3. Security Operations & Integration

  • Collaborate with infrastructure and security teams for deployments and issue resolution
  • Work with security operations teams to address data protection risks

4. Reporting & Automation

  • Develop dashboards and reports using Power BI
  • Automate workflows and processes using Power Automate

5. Change Management & Documentation

  • Participate in change management processes (CRs, CAB/TAB)
  • Prepare and maintain documentation including SOPs, test cases, and operational guides

6. Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Work closely with business and IT stakeholders to support data governance and compliance initiatives

Required Skills & Experience

  • 6–8 years of overall IT experience
  • Minimum 3+ years in cybersecurity
  • 2–3 years of hands-on experience with:
    • Microsoft Purview
    • Microsoft Information Protection (MIP/AIP)
    • Data Loss Prevention (DLP)
  • Strong understanding of:
    • Data classification and labeling
    • Data governance and compliance frameworks
  • Experience with (nice to have):
    • Symantec DLP
    • Zscaler
    • Digital Guardian
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills

Certifications (Preferred)

  • Microsoft Certified: Information Protection Administrator Associate (SC-400)
  • Microsoft Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals (SC-900)

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field (preferred)
