IT Project Manager – ERP Transformation (Senior)

Location: Brussels, Belgium (1000)
Work Setup: Hybrid (minimum 3 days onsite per week)

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to lead a large-scale ERP transformation program. This role involves managing the transition from SAP ECC to a new ERP solution, ensuring successful delivery across scope, timeline, budget, and quality while aligning with business and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the transformation from the current SAP ECC system to a new ERP solution
  • Define and manage the public procurement process to select the ERP solution and implementation partner
  • Oversee the full ERP transformation lifecycle, including migration and transition phases
  • Gather, monitor, and integrate key user requirements across multiple strategic initiatives
  • Ensure detailed project tracking (scope, schedule, budget, resources, risks, and issues)
  • Implement and manage test strategies aligned with defined methodologies
  • Drive change management activities in collaboration with business stakeholders and internal teams
  • Ensure adequate training and adoption for end users
  • Support the PMO with reporting (PSR), capacity planning, budgeting, and timelines
  • Establish and maintain project governance frameworks using tools such as Jira and TOPdesk
  • Ensure compliance with GDPR, ISO27001, and NIS2 regulations

Delivery & Working Conditions

  • Full-time assignment (approx. 440 man-days over 24 months)
  • 40 hours per week during standard business hours (Monday–Friday, 07:00–19:00)
  • Minimum 3 days onsite per week (non-consecutive possible)
  • No overtime without prior approval
  • Leave must be planned in alignment with project continuity requirements and agreed in advance

Required Skills & Experience

  • Strong experience in IT transformation projects (Expert level)
  • Proven track record with large ERP transformations, including complex migrations and transitions
  • Deep expertise in:
    • SAP ECC and SAP S/4HANA
    • Project Management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Scrum)
    • PRINCE2 (or equivalent certification)
    • Test management frameworks and execution
  • Experience with public procurement processes in IT environments
  • Knowledge of Business Process Modeling Notation (BPMN)
  • Familiarity with M365 tools (SharePoint, PowerApps, Power Automate)
  • Exposure to other ERP systems (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics, Odoo) is an advantage
