Functional Analyst – Structured Documentation & Knowledge Management 

Overview

We are looking for an experienced Functional Analyst to support a short-term assessment project focused on structured documentation and knowledge management solutions. The mission involves evaluating and comparing document management platforms capable of managing reusable concepts and publishing technical documentation in a structured and maintainable way.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze existing business and functional requirements related to structured documentation management.
  • Evaluate and compare market solutions (e.g., Oxygen XML and similar platforms) against predefined requirements.
  • Assess document processing, information extraction, classification, and knowledge management capabilities.
  • Conduct functional and technical analyses of shortlisted solutions.
  • Identify strengths, limitations, risks, and implementation considerations for each platform.
  • Provide objective recommendations and support decision-making through comparative analysis and reporting.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to validate findings and ensure alignment with business needs.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Strong experience in Functional Analysis and Requirements Gathering.
  • Expertise in document management and structured documentation systems.
  • Experience with information extraction, classification, content management, or knowledge management solutions.
  • Ability to conduct both functional and technical evaluations of software platforms.
  • Familiarity with tools such as Oxygen XML or similar structured authoring/documentation solutions is highly desirable.
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills.
