About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior ICT Project Manager to lead strategic digital metering initiatives within the Belgian utilities sector.

You will play a key role in managing large-scale ICT projects focused on the continued rollout of digital meters and the implementation of next-generation gas metering solutions. Working across multiple business and technology teams, you will ensure successful delivery of complex projects while maintaining alignment with business objectives, timelines, budgets, and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate ICT projects related to digital metering programs and application development initiatives.
  • Manage project delivery across all phases, including analysis, design, testing, implementation, and transition.
  • Monitor project scope, budget, timelines, quality, risks, and dependencies.
  • Proactively identify and mitigate project risks, issues, and bottlenecks.
  • Ensure accurate and timely reporting to stakeholders on project progress and status.
  • Apply established project management methodologies and ensure adherence across project teams.
  • Coordinate with analysts, business stakeholders, and other project managers to manage cross-program dependencies.
  • Support user acceptance testing (UAT) and quality assurance activities.
  • Facilitate collaboration between internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Drive successful project outcomes in a dynamic and evolving environment.

Required Skills & Experience

Must-Have

  • Minimum 5 years of experience leading and managing ICT projects.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience within the Belgian utilities sector (electricity and gas).
  • Minimum 5 years of experience managing ICT projects related to application development.
  • Proven experience with digital metering projects.
  • Strong knowledge of project management methodologies such as PRINCE2, PMBOK, or equivalent.
  • Experience working in Agile and Scrum environments.
  • Experience with APIs and data exchange integrations involving external parties.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Ability to coordinate effectively with key external and internal stakeholders.
  • Dutch language proficiency at CEFR Level C2.

Nice-to-Have

  • Knowledge and experience with ITIL.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, IT, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
  • Experience working in large-scale transformation or digitalization programs.
