We're Hiring: Senior Business / Functional Analyst

We're looking for an experienced Senior Business / Functional Analyst to join a long-term project focused on building a modern, AI-assisted knowledge platform within a complex data-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Facilitate workshops with business stakeholders, content owners, and key users.
• Gather, analyze, and prioritize business requirements using Agile methodologies.
• Document functional requirements and detailed specifications with clear acceptance criteria.
• Build and manage the product backlog, including epics, user stories, and story mapping.
• Model business processes and information using BPMN, UML, and conceptual data models.
• Define user personas, user journeys, and document classification models.
• Support AI-assisted development by creating high-quality functional specifications.
• Validate functional deliverables and coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
• Bridge the gap between business and IT while using SQL to support data analysis and decision-making.

Requirements

• Extensive experience as a Business or Functional Analyst in complex IT and data environments.
• Strong expertise in requirements engineering and writing specifications with acceptance criteria (e.g. Volere/Robertson, Use Cases, Gherkin).
• Experience working in Agile environments with backlog management, user stories, epics, and story mapping.
• Proficiency in business process and information modelling (BPMN, UML).
• Strong SQL skills and experience with data analysis.
• Familiarity with Power BI and/or Python for data analysis is an advantage.
• Experience with data modelling or data governance is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of API integrations, event-driven architecture, or pub/sub patterns is a plus.
• Familiarity with Enterprise Architecture frameworks such as ArchiMate or TOGAF is a plus.
