Role Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Ops Engineer to support and optimize mission‑critical, internet‑facing commercial banking systems. You will ensure the availability, reliability, and performance of the Order Manager platform across all environments, driving preventive monitoring, automation, CI/CD excellence, and secure operational practices.

This role requires deep technical expertise across Azure, CI/CD, TIBCO, monitoring tooling, scripting, and production support. You will work in a high‑pressure, high‑impact environment aligned with Agile ways of working and the ING Orange Code.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure availability, reliability, and performance of major internet‑facing commercial banking systems.
• Monitor and support all Order Manager environments using automation and preventive testing.
• Analyze database and application performance; recommend and implement tuning improvements.
• Drive preventive monitoring and alerting strategies using OSS tools (Grafana, Kibana, Prometheus).
• React to incidents, participate in standby/on‑call rotations, and support 24/7 production environments.
• Implement CI/CD best practices using Azure DevOps, Git, Maven, Ansible.
• Support automated deployments across container and non‑container platforms.
• Integrate security, privacy, and compliance requirements into operational workflows.
• Provide tools and suggestions to reduce development lead time and improve delivery efficiency.
• Collaborate closely with engineering, security, and operations teams in an Agile environment.
• Troubleshoot complex infrastructure, deployment, and application issues.

Must‑Have Skills

• Strong hands‑on experience with Azure (deployments, repositories, code reviews).
• Deep experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tooling.
• Strong knowledge of TIBCO BW 5.x and EMS.
• Experience with Grafana, Kibana, Prometheus and dashboard creation.
• Excellent scripting skills (Bash, Unix).
• Strong understanding of relational databases; Oracle experience is a major plus.
• Experience in banking environments supporting production systems.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to summarize key insights.
• Ability to work under pressure and participate in standby/on‑call rotations.
• Strong communication skills (English).
• Experience working in large corporate environments while remaining hands‑on and independent.
• Solid understanding of Agile, Scrum, Kanban.

• Experience with test automation tools (e.g., Parasoft).
