Role Overview:
The Senior Project Manager at ITS (Information Technology Solutions Company) plays a dual role: leading critical cybersecurity and information security projects with strategic importance, and acting as the Project Management Team Lead within the PMO. This role ensures project excellence through hands-on execution, team leadership, and alignment with ITSs hybrid project management framework. The Senior PM drives complex project delivery, mentors project managers, and supports the Head of PMO in capacity planning, process governance, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Project Management:
- Lead end-to-end delivery of high-impact projects with external clients or strategic internal stakeholders.
- Define project scope, success criteria, and delivery approach in line with business objectives.
- Develop integrated project plans, budgets, resource needs, and risk strategies.
Execution & Governance Oversight:
- Ensure rigorous application of ITSs hybrid project management methodology.
- Track progress across phases, manage risks/issues/dependencies at portfolio level when needed.
- Escalate blockers proactively and ensure timely decision-making with stakeholders.
Team Leadership & People Development:
- Support onboarding, training, and capability development of junior PMs and the Scrum Master.
- Conduct periodic performance feedback in coordination with the Head of PMO.
Client & Executive Stakeholder Management:
- Serve as senior liaison for key client engagements, managing relationships, escalations, and governance meetings.
- Facilitate project steering committees, present progress reports, and align with executive sponsors.
Resource & Vendor Management:
- Oversee resource allocation across concurrent projects, resolving priority conflicts.
- Manage high-level coordination with vendors, ensuring alignment on scope, timelines, and quality.
Project Closure & Knowledge Transfer:
- Lead closure activities for strategic projects, including benefit realization and impact analysis.
- Ensure knowledge transfer, documentation archiving, and sharing of lessons learned across the PMO.
Reporting & Work Structure:
- Reports to: Head of PMO
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related discipline.
- Minimum 7-10 years of project management experience, including leading cybersecurity or enterprise IT programs.
- PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent certification required; Agile certification (e.g., PMI-ACP, Scrum Master) is a plus.
- Proven leadership experience in managing multiple projects and coaching junior PMs.
- Strong background in stakeholder communication, conflict resolution, and decision facilitation.
