You'll work closely with Council teams, housing services, social care, health professionals, police, legal services, voluntary organisations, and other partner agencies to help individuals access the right support and improve their safety, stability, and wellbeing.

About the Role

As a Specialist Navigator, you'll provide personalised and coordinated support to individuals who may face significant barriers when accessing services.

You'll take a trauma-informed and person-centred approach, helping service users understand their options, develop safety plans, access appropriate services, and work towards greater independence and stability.

What you'll be doing:

  • Coordinating multi-agency support to ensure individuals receive joined-up and effective assistance
  • Supporting service users with appointments and professional meetings where required
  • Helping individuals understand their rights and available options
  • Supporting applications for benefits, housing, financial assistance, or other practical support
  • Maintaining accurate and confidential case records
  • Monitoring risk and escalating safeguarding concerns appropriately
  • Working collaboratively with professionals across statutory and voluntary-sector services
  • Contributing to multi-agency meetings and case discussions
  • Supporting service users to develop confidence, resilience, and greater independence
  • Maintaining appropriate professional boundaries while providing compassionate and consistent support

  • Strong understanding of trauma-informed and person-centred practice
  • Knowledge of safeguarding and risk assessment procedures
