About the job Technology Analyst
We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Technology Analyst to join our remote technology team. This role is responsible for evaluating business systems, analyzing technical processes, supporting digital initiatives, and driving data-informed technology decisions across the organization.
The ideal candidate combines strong analytical thinking with technical knowledge and business acumen. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams including Engineering, Product, Operations, Cybersecurity, and Leadership to assess system performance, identify process improvements, and recommend scalable solutions that align with organizational goals.
This is a fully remote opportunity; however, candidates must reside within the United States and be legally authorized to work without sponsorship.
Key Responsibilities
Technology & Systems Analysis
* Evaluate existing IT systems, applications, and infrastructure for efficiency, scalability, and performance.
* Analyze system integrations, workflows, and data pipelines to identify optimization opportunities.
* Conduct gap analyses and recommend technology enhancements.
* Document functional and technical requirements for new or upgraded systems.
Data & Reporting
* Collect, analyze, and interpret technical and operational data.
* Develop dashboards and reports using BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, or similar).
* Provide insights to support strategic decision-making.
* Monitor KPIs related to system performance, uptime, and security compliance.
Project & Stakeholder Support
* Collaborate with project managers and engineering teams on digital transformation initiatives.
* Translate business requirements into technical specifications.
* Participate in solution design discussions and vendor evaluations.
* Support UAT (User Acceptance Testing) and deployment activities.
Risk & Compliance Monitoring
* Identify technology risks and assist in mitigation planning.
* Ensure adherence to security standards, regulatory requirements, and IT governance policies.
* Support audit processes and documentation reviews.
Continuous Improvement
* Recommend automation opportunities to reduce manual processes.
* Contribute to IT process standardization and documentation.
* Stay informed on emerging technologies and industry best practices.
Required Qualifications
* Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Business Information Systems, or related field.
* 3+ years of experience in technology analysis, IT systems analysis, or a related technical role.
* Strong understanding of enterprise systems, databases, and cloud environments.
* Experience with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, Looker, etc.).
* Familiarity with SQL and data querying concepts.
* Experience working in Agile or hybrid project environments.
* Excellent documentation and communication skills.
* Must reside in the United States and be legally authorized to work without sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
* Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001).
* Experience with ERP, CRM, or enterprise SaaS platforms.
* Certification such as CBAP, ITIL, PMP, or relevant technical credentials.
* Experience in healthcare, finance, manufacturing, or enterprise technology environments.
Technical Skills
* SQL (intermediate level)
* Data analysis and reporting tools
* Microsoft 365 / Google Workspace
* Jira, Confluence, or similar collaboration platforms
* Basic scripting knowledge (Python, PowerShell, or similar) is a plus
