Head SME Lending

Our client is a leading UAE-based consumer technology company, building the digital infrastructure of everyday life with a focus on AI-powered fintech, communication, and digital services. They design technology around real human behavior, connecting people, enabling financial access, and making everyday experiences effortless.

They are seeking a Head of SME Lending to support the SVP Lending with ownership of sales, product, and operations execution. This role is accountable for driving portfolio growth while ensuring profitability, compliance, and effective risk management.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee origination, product, and operations
• Provide strategic input on portfolio optimization, including: Pricing, Risk tiering, Sectoral exposure
• Support sales in achieving disbursement goals and portfolio targets
• Partner with product teams on roadmap delivery and with operations on risk/collections
• Develop dashboards and actionable recommendations to: Optimize ROI, Reduce NPLs, Improve revenue per employee

Key Requirements

• 10 - 15 years of experience in SME or commercial lending, with leadership roles
• Broad exposure across: Sales, Product, Credit operations, Risk management
• Strong analytical mindset, with the ability to translate portfolio data into strategy
• Proven leadership capabilities with experience mentoring and driving cross-functional teams
