About the job AVP IT Strategy & Governance
Our client is a leading Real Estate Developer, headquartered in Dubai. They are looking to add to their team a driven Assistant Vice President IT Strategy & Governance.
This role leads our clients IT strategy and digital transformation, driving cloud migration, ERP modernization, and customer experience platforms. It ensures strong governance, cybersecurity, and scalable enterprise architecture while fostering cross-functional collaboration and vendor partnerships. The leader will build high-performing teams, champion agile and innovative practices, and align technology initiatives with long-term business goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership & Transformation
- Develop and execute a 3-5 year IT strategy roadmap aligned with our client's business objectives.
- Lead digital transformation initiatives including cloud migration, ERP modernization, and customer experience platforms.
- Champion innovation through agile methodologies, design thinking, and business model innovation frameworks.
Governance & Compliance
- Drive cybersecurity strategy including SOC/NOC operations, SIEM integration, and federated identity management.
- Monitor and report on IT performance metrics, ROI, and strategic KPIs to executive stakeholders.
Enterprise Architecture & Infrastructure
- Architect scalable, secure, and resilient IT infrastructure across data centers and cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Lead DevOps and CI/CD practices to accelerate product delivery and operational agility.
- Oversee ERP systems (Oracle, JD Edwards, NetSuite) and integration with eCommerce, CRM, and payment gateways.
Stakeholder Engagement & Change Management
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Marketing, Finance, and Operations to drive digital enablement.
- Facilitate executive workshops, innovation sprints, and strategic discovery sessions.
- Manage vendor relationships, RFP processes, and technology selection aligned with business needs.
Team Leadership & Capability Building
- Build and mentor high-performing techno-functional teams across development, infrastructure, and business analysis.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement, agile delivery, and customer-centricity.
- Lead strategic hiring and talent development initiatives to support IT transformation goals.
Qualifications
- Masters or Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field (MBA preferred).
- Proven track record of leading large-scale IT transformation, ERP modernization, and cloud initiatives.
- Strong expertise in enterprise architecture, cybersecurity, and digital platforms (ERP, CRM, eCommerce).
- Demonstrated ability to engage with executive leadership and drive cross-functional change.
- Experience building and mentoring high-performing technology teams with an innovation mindset.
